About Our Client
Our client is the international school arm of an established Malaysian public-listed group.
Job Summary
The Head of Sales will own student enrolment for the school, leading the full admissions funnel from enquiry through to enrolled student. This is a target-carrying leadership role combining direct consultative engagement with families, channel development, and leadership of the sales and admissions team.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the school's student enrolment target, covering both new admissions and re-enrolment retention, with accountability for the full funnel: enquiry, school tour, application, offer, enrolment.
- Lead and develop the sales and admissions team, setting activity standards, conversion targets, and follow-up discipline.
- Build and manage external enrolment channels, including education agents, feeder schools, corporate and expatriate relocation partners, and community networks.
- Personally handle senior and high-value family conversations, guiding parents through a considered, long-cycle decision with credibility and care.
- Work with marketing to convert campaign activity into qualified enquiries, and feed back market intelligence on demand, pricing, and competitor positioning.
- Plan and lead enrolment events, including open days, school tours, information sessions, and education fairs.
- Maintain accurate pipeline data in CRM and report enrolment performance, conversion rates, and forecasts to school and group leadership.
- Work closely with academic and operational leadership to ensure the admissions experience reflects the school's standards and that intake matches capacity planning.
Requirements
- Proven sales leadership experience with personal accountability for revenue or enrolment targets.
- Background in international or private education admissions is strongly preferred. Alternatively, premium consumer or services sales with long consideration cycles and high-value family or individual decisions.
- Demonstrated success building and managing third-party or agent channels.
- Experience leading and coaching a sales and admissions team.
- Strong consultative communication skills with parents and senior stakeholders, with excellent spoken and written English. Mandarin or Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage for this market.
- Comfortable with CRM discipline and reporting on funnel metrics.
- Willingness to work occasional weekends and evenings for enrolment events.
