MEP Engineer
Job Summary
An Electrical Engineer is sought to execute end-to-end customer projects, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery compliant with local regulations and global quality and safety standards. This role involves supporting project leads, collaborating on system integration, assisting with budget and risk management, and maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in full-lifecycle delivery of data center projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget execution compliant with quality, safety, and Singapore electrical codes.
- Coordinate with local and global cross-functional teams for electrical and multi-system integration.
- Assist in budget management, risk identification and assessment, and propose improvements for project outcomes and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders through proactive communication.
- Support review of electrical drawings and technical documents for generators, UPS, switchgears, and energy storage systems; conduct technical clarifications with vendors.
- Follow up on-site electrical construction, resolve basic technical issues, and compile progress reports, variation documents, and handover records.
- Assist in streamlining execution workflows to improve operational efficiency and cost control while maintaining quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power System, Mechatronics, or related engineering fields.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant electrical project experience in mission-critical infrastructure or data centers.
- Hands-on experience liaising with on-site vendors and construction subcontractors.
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously with strong attention to detail.
- Basic analytical skills and ability to support on-site decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with basic project tools for progress tracking and report generation.
- Master’s Degree in Engineering or relevant electrical professional certifications (preferred).
- Familiarity with Singapore SS electrical standards, data center codes, and experience with generator, UPS, or battery storage on-site works (preferred).
- Prior working experience in Singapore or Southeast Asia projects (preferred).
- Ability to support basic technical presentations to clients and management (preferred).
- Awareness of process improvement and willingness to adopt digital tools for productivity (preferred).
