Job Summary
This role involves leading the development and maintenance of complex project schedules for engineering and construction initiatives. You will serve as the primary technical authority on planning tools, ensuring that time, cost, and resource data remain aligned to support accurate forecasting and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct and refine detailed project timelines using industry-standard scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Collaborate closely with engineering leads, site supervisors, and project managers to validate the accuracy of schedule inputs and outputs.
- Track actual performance against planned milestones, pinpointing slippages and developing strategies to recover lost time.
- Generate comprehensive progress documentation, including S-curves, resource histograms, and critical path evaluations, for stakeholder review.
- Synchronize schedule data with cost estimates and resource allocation plans to maintain integrated project controls.
- Assist in the pre-construction phase by establishing baseline programs and supporting tender submissions.
- Perform scenario modeling to evaluate the impact of proposed changes on project duration and resources.
- Uphold adherence to internal planning protocols and specific client requirements for schedule management.
Requirements
- Hold a diploma or degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline.
- Possess two to five years of practical experience in planning and scheduling within the construction or engineering sectors.
- Demonstrate proficient command of Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, along with advanced Excel capabilities.
- Exhibit a solid grasp of the Critical Path Method (CPM) and Extension of Time (EOT) principles.
- Understand core project controls concepts, including resource loading and progress measurement techniques.
- Display strong analytical thinking and problem-solving aptitude.
- Possess effective communication skills to facilitate coordination across multidisciplinary teams.
- Capable of managing tasks autonomously while maintaining high performance under tight deadlines.
