Job Summary
The Chief Financial Officer will lead the financial strategy and operations of a diversified property development and township planning group. This role is responsible for driving strategic growth, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimizing capital structure across residential, commercial, and industrial portfolios in Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute long-term financial strategies aligned with the group’s expansion goals in property development and township planning.
- Oversee end-to-end financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and capital allocation for mixed-use development projects.
- Ensure strict compliance with Bursa Malaysia listing requirements, Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS), and corporate governance best practices.
- Lead treasury and funding activities, managing debt structures, bank relationships, and capital raising initiatives to support strategic acquisitions and development pipelines.
- Direct internal audit, risk management, and internal control frameworks to mitigate financial and operational risks across the diversified portfolio.
- Provide strategic financial insights and reporting to the Board of Directors, supporting decision-making on new ventures, joint ventures, and asset management.
- Supervise the finance and accounting teams, ensuring timely statutory filings, tax optimization, and accurate financial reporting.
Requirements
- Chartered Accountant (MIA) or equivalent professional qualification with extensive experience in the property development or construction sector.
- Proven track record as a CFO or senior finance leader in a public-listed company or large-scale private enterprise.
- Deep understanding of Malaysian property laws, land acquisition processes, and township development financial models.
- Strong expertise in MFRS, IFRS, and Bursa Malaysia corporate governance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex capital structures, including project financing, REITs, or private equity partnerships.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and engage with external stakeholders, including banks, auditors, and regulators.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced financial modeling tools.
